IBQA governance separates application support from evidence review and approval decisions as far as practicable, with documented controls for confidentiality, conflicts and status changes.
Decision responsibilities
Applications are checked for completeness and scope. Reviewers assess relevant evidence against the stated criteria. Approval decisions are recorded with their basis, conditions, validity and public status.
Conflicts of interest
Individuals involved in review or decision activity are expected to disclose relationships or interests that could affect impartiality. A conflicted person should not control the final decision.
Complaints and appeals
Applicants, learners and members of the public may raise a concern about process, conduct, misuse of identity or record accuracy. An appeal must identify the decision challenged and provide relevant grounds or evidence.
Records and privacy
Institutional and learner information is handled for assessment, administration, audit, verification and legal compliance. Public verification is limited to fields necessary to confirm authenticity and status.
Suspension and revocation
Approval may be suspended, restricted or revoked where there is serious misrepresentation, non-compliance, unsafe practice, non-payment where contractually applicable, obstruction of review or loss of required legal authority.
